Team1Medical currently is seeking a Patient Access Representatives for a large hospital system in The Woodland, TX. Position is responsible for scheduling patient appointments, ensuring medical necessity compliance, verifying eligibility, and posting payments.
Greet patients as they arrive for appointments, answer phones and schedule new and follow-up appointments
Responsible for the check-in process, including collecting insurance and ID cards, scanning information and entering/updating and verifying all demographic information, ensuring accuracy of demographic and insurance information
Will scan documentation into EMR system as needed, collect patient payment at designated point in the patient appointment, sort and deliver mail, faxes, and packages and order supplies and monitors supply inventory
Perform various clerical or administrative functions
Schedule surgical procedures for patients based on physician orders
Complete insurance or other claim forms
Obtains demographic, insurance and financial information from patient or guarantor.
Enters information in computer system with a high degree of accuracy and generates the appropriate patient receipts.
Monitors, reviews and resolves patient account issues on assigned reports.
Communicates in an effective and professional manner with Physicians, ancillary departments, nursing units, physicians' office staff, insurance companies, as well as patients and their families

2 + years' experience as a Patient Account Representative or Patient Access Representative
Must have professional behavior with a patient centric attitude
Detail oriented and strong attention to detail required!
Organizational skills
Computer literacy
Candidate must be available to start to work immediately!
