Customer Service Representatives are needed for a Medical Billing organization in West Houston. Responsibilities include answering incoming phone calls from customers and identifying the type of assistance the customer needs. (i.E. Benefit and eligibility, billing and payments, authorizations for treatment and explanations of benefits (EOB's); Asking appropriate questions and listening actively to identify specific questions or issues while documenting required information in computer systems; Owning problems through to resolution on behalf of the customer/patients in real time through comprehensive and timely follow-up with the member on the specified date given to patient; Reviewing and researching incoming healthcare claims for patient's (clinics, etc.) by navigating multiple computers systems and platforms and verifies the data/ information necessary for answering any and all questions regarding their claim; Ensuring that the proper benefits are applied to each claim by using the appropriate processes and procedures benefit plan; Communicate and collaborate with patient to resolve issues, using clear, simple language to ensure complete understanding of their bill/ statement: Review and sign all written instruction for any and all duties, duties will be subject to change and ample notices will be given: Meet the performance goals established for the position in the areas of: efficiency, accuracy, quality, member satisfaction and attendance: High school diploma or GED required; 3+ years' experience required; Ability to type 40 WPM; Proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications; Experience reading EOB's preferred; Knowledge of CMR, E-Power and Centricity desired.
