Our client in the Southwest Houston area is seeking an ambitious Bilingual Medical Assistant to join the team! You will perform the routine duties of triage, record medical histories, prepare the treatment rooms, and assist with the insurance verification process. Bilingual Medical Assistant’s Responsibilities
- Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, and other important information such as test results.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by the physicians.
- Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets, or physicians' instructions to patients and their caregivers.
- Assist with the insurance verification process.
Bilingual Medical Assistant’s Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED and a certificate of completion from an accredited Medical Assistant program are required.
- Two (2) years of experience as a Medical Assistant, experience in a Pulmonary setting is highly preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
- Previous insurance verification experience is required.
