Bilingual Medical Assistant
Job Description
- Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, and other important information such as test results.
- Assist in dialysis procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician.
- Set up instruments and equipment according to department protocol.
- Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets, or physicians' instructions to patients and their caregivers.
- Must be comfortable floating between different clinics (Museum District, Pasadena, Baytown, Clear Lake, Southeast Memorial Pearland)
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, experience in Nephrology or Primary Care is highly preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
- A Medical Assistant diploma is required; A National Medical Assistant Certification is highly preferred.
- Willingness to commute between different locations (Museum District, Pasadena, Baytown, Clear Lake, Southeast Memorial, and Pearland); A Valid Texas Driver’s License is required.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.
- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with no weekends to enjoy a good work/life balance.
