Job Description
 
One of the premier Orthopedics and Pain Management clinics is seeking a Medical Billing and Coding Specialist that will analyze patient records and review third party coding for accuracy. Submit your resume and see what opportunities are available for you!
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Reviews medical record documentation to ensure pertinent diagnoses are coded 
  • Utilizes ICD 10, CPT, HPCPS, operative reports, code diagnosis and modifiers according to coding guidelines 
  • Communicates effectively with all appropriate parties regarding missing information to ensure proper billing submission 
  • Prepares and submit electronic and paper claims to insurance carriers and gov payers 
  • Manages the status of accounts and identify inconsistencies 
  • Resolves denials and rejections daily 
 
Qualifications and Requirements:
 
  • Three years of medical claims and billing experience for hospital accounts
  • Knowledge of workers compensation, insurance verification, patient responsibility and prior authorization process 
  • Knowledge of interpreting explanation of benefits (EOBs) and coordination of benefits (COB’s) processing 
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes and procedures and basic business math 
  • Proficient in electronic billing as well as the UB04 claim form 
  • Must have completed High School Diploma or GED.
 
Benefits and Perks:
 
  • $21.96/hr. - $25.25/hr. 
  • After 4 weeks of onsite training, position will be fully remote.

If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth
