Job Description
We are seeking a Business and Community Outreach Coordinator to support educational institutions and development initiatives by building and maintaining strong industry, community apprenticeship, and workforce board partnerships. This role will focus on creating new opportunities, expanding employer engagement, and increasing awareness of institutional workforce programs throughout the community.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate business and community events, meetings, and special activities.
- Establish and maintain industry and community partnerships that support workforce programming.
- Build employer networks to expand work-based learning opportunities for students.
- Support the development and maintenance of registered apprenticeship programs with employers and Centers of Excellence.
- Assist with fundraising and grant development for workforce and community partnership initiatives.
- Maintain an up-to-date database of community contacts, organizations, publications, and workforce partners.
- Partner with regional workforce boards and Workforce Solutions staff to promote workforce instruction and development efforts.
- Provide community partners with accurate, current information about workforce programs and initiatives.
- Coordinate workforce initiatives involving external stakeholders and maintain reports on outreach activities and results.
- Perform additional duties and assignments as required.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Organizational Communications, or a related field is required.
- Four years of experience in Marketing, Community Relations, Public Relations, or a related field is required.
- Valid Texas Driver License is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and strong knowledge of community organizations within the Houston-area service region.
- Event planning and organizing experience is desirable.
- Must be available to attend frequent evening and weekend events.
Benefits and Perks:
- $30.00/hr.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we want to share the base salary range for this position is $30.00/hr. not including benefits, potential bonuses or additional compensation. If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth
