Cardiac Ultrasound Tech
- Perform all modalities of echocardiography Echocardiographic assessment of 2D, M-Mode, Color flow and continuous wave doppler, Stress echocardiography, Pharmacological stress echocardiography, Transesophageal echocardiograms.
- Must be able to analyze patient’s clinical history, identify the purpose of the examination, and expand the examination as necessary to answer the clinical questions.
- Perform quantitative analysis of Echocardiographic studies Analysis includes: systolic function (ejection fraction and wall motion analysis), diastolic function, pulmonary pressure, hemodynamic assessment, assessment of valvular abnormalities, changes in gradients, and critical values. Perform strain of measurements.
- Prepares equipment for procedures to be performed. Cleans and disinfects equipment following patient use. Maintains equipment cleaning logs.
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Active CPR certification is required.
- Must have Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer through American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers OR Registered Cardiac Sonographer through Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
- Two (2) years of experience as a Cardiac Ultrasound Technician in a physician office or clinic.
- Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., with no weekends to offer a good work/life balance.
