Our client is looking for a skilled Cast/Orthopedic Tech with excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment to join their growing team.
Cast/Orthopedic Tech Responsibilities
Apply complex casts, splints and other orthopedic/prosthetic devices under the guidance and supervision of attending medical staff
Application and removal of all casts and splits
Size and apply orthopedic devices to patients such as ace wraps, upper and lower extremities braces, wrist splints, traction, post operative prosthesis, crutches and canes
Provide technical assistance and advice concerning casts, splints, braces, etc to physicians and nurses
Provide verbal or written cast care instructions to patients - answering any and all questions regarding their orthopedic needs
Cast/Orthopedic Tech Qualifications
To be considered for the Medical Scheduler position, you will need the following:
1 + years of experience as an cast tech/technician - certification a strong plus
Self-motivated, detail-oriented and results-driven
Must be flexible to travel to various locations
