Job Description
- Medication administration under supervision
- Take vital signs as indicated for specified types of medications, prepares report and notifies designated licensed nurses of unexpected reactions
- Document reasons prescribed drugs are not administered and report to licensed nurse
- Verify the identification of a resident to assure appropriate care is being provided to correct patient
- Recognize and respond to the needs of residents and team member
- Document changes in the resident's condition as soon as possible
- Report resident's intake on meal percentage sheet
- Document accidents and incidents when they occur
- Assist with resident move-ins, transferring and move outs
- Ensure all assigned tasks are handled in accordance with Community policies and procedures as instructed by supervisor
- High School diploma or GED
- Current Medication Aide Certification is required
- Valid PPD/TBD test taken within the past year
- Updated CPR certification
- Prior experience working with residents in a senior living environment is preferred
- Willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
