Job Description
One of the premier Healthcare organizations is seeking a Child Life Assistant to assist Child Life Services department with all pediatric patients and guests needs. Submit your resume and see what opportunities are available for you!
Responsibilities:
- Assist in providing recreational, educational, and diversion activities for pediatric patients and families.
- Support bedside and group activities for inpatient and outpatient pediatric patients.
- Help coordinate special events and provide additional program support as needed.
- Maintain accurate attendance and activity participation records.
- Escort and transport patients safely to activities and special events.
- Assist with onboarding and supporting pediatric volunteers.
- Deliver therapeutic equipment, supplies, and devices to patient rooms.
- Collaborate with Child Life Specialists to promote a positive, engaging patient experience.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- One (1) year of experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults in a health care/childcare setting.
- CPR certification is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills
- Patience and adaptability when supporting children with varying needs.
