Credentialing Coordinator
Job Description
- Responsible for all aspects of applying for licensure on behalf of the organization.
- Review the information provided on prepopulated applications, and should deficiencies or questions arise, seek appropriate personnel to assist.
- Serve as a liaison to the administrative support staff for coordinating the credentialing of potential candidates for medical staff membership or licensing as part of the overall institutional licensing strategy.
- A High School Diploma or GED is required; a bachelor’s degree is highly preferred.
- Three (3) years of experience in medical staff services, credentialing, accounting, auditing, or a related field is required; Five (5) years of direct credentialing and healthcare administration experience is highly preferred.
- CPCS or CPMSM Certifications are not required but are highly recommended.
- Intermediate proficiency in computer skills is required.
- Strong attention to detail, multitasking, and organizational skills are required.
- Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Hybrid position: will be required to be on-site as needed.
