Dental Hygienist

Job Description
- Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before the examination
- Sterilize dental instruments properly
- Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
- Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis
- Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g., remove plaque or apply fluoride)
- Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care
- Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures
- Take X-rays or dental impressions
- Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer)
- Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
- Diploma in Dental Hygiene required; Master’s degree is a plus
- Current and Valid License to practice dental hygiene required
- Previous Dental Hygienist experience required
- Must have experience in preparing dental instruments and equipment
- Understanding of health & safety regulations i.e., HIPAA
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
- The building is located immediately of I-185 with close access to shopping outlets and various restaurants
- Friday afternoons off! Work schedule Monday thru Thursday 8am to 5pm AND Friday 8am to 1pm
