Director of Nursing’s Responsibilities
  • Maintain communication and address the rapidly changing healthcare environment in which clinical services are delivered across the system.
  • Lead the development and execution of clinical programs, policies, procedures, and protocols ensuring system integration and adherence.
  • Monitor operations of nursing staff and ensure compliance with regulations on organizational and governmental standards and practices. 
  • This role will oversee all nursing in the hospital, including ER, Meg Surg, OR, OB, Critical Care, Ambulatory Care, Trauma, Cardiac Rehab, Respiratory, Tele Respiratory Services, and other TeleHealth services.
 
Director of Nursing’s Qualifications
  • A bachelor of science degree in nursing is required.
  • Five (5) years of nursing experience is required; five (5) years of management/leadership experience is highly preferred.
  • An unencumbered RN License with the State Board of Nursing is required. 
  • BLS, TNCC, ACLS, NRP, PALS, etc. certifications will need to be acquired if not obtained by the hiring date.
  • Essential knowledge in OB, Med Surg, and ER (or the willingness to learn these specialties) is required.
