Emergency Care Attendant Trainee
Job Description
- Administer prompt and efficient basic life support care within the limits of licensure or certification and by approved protocols before transport.
- Provide careful handling of the patient to and from the ambulance.
- Provide safe and efficient transport of the patient in the ambulance to the medical facility.
- Document and report all needed repairs for proper maintenance departments (electronic or mechanical) to direct supervisors and other ambulance personnel as required.
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A current CPR certification through the American Heart Association is required.
- A valid and current Driver’s License is required; one must be able to drive large vehicles in normal and adverse conditions.
- Upon completing the 10-day training, you can receive your Emergency Care Attendant certification!
- Strong attention to detail and written and verbal communication skills are required.
- All training, ECA courses, and National Registry examination costs will be covered by the organization.
