Team1Medical is seeking an Insurance Verification Specialist to ensure patient healthcare benefits cover required procedures. If you have experience with insurance verification and want to take your career to the next level, submit your resume today!
Insurance Verification Specialist’s Responsibilities
- Verify insurance coverage of each patient.
- Handle payment for service not covered by insurance.
- Explain coverages to patients.
- Obtain referrals for patients when they are not covered by insurance.
- Update patient information/keeping records.
Insurance Verification Specialist’s Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED is required; An associate degree is highly recommended.
- Two (2) years of insurance verification or medical billing experience with knowledge of CPT and HCPCS coding is required.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
- Essential knowledge of medical terminology is required.
- Strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication, and time management skills are required.
Company Culture & Perks
- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with no weekends.
- The location of the building is immediately off Highway 290.
