Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused MRI Technologist I to independently perform routine MRI and MRA procedures while delivering exceptional patient care. This role works closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support diagnostic and specialized MR procedures while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine MRI and MRA procedures independently
- Assist physicians with diagnostic and special MR procedures, including sterile technique
- Optimize imaging protocols for image quality, patient safety, and patient experience
- Adhere to all MRI safety policies and procedures
- Provide compassionate, age-appropriate communication to patients and families
- Collaborate with physicians, technologists, nurses, and care team members
- Perform weekly imaging equipment quality control (QC) checks
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond appropriately
- Accurately document procedures and enter charges at time of service
Qualifications and Requirements
- Completion of an accredited MRI training program
- 1+ year of MRI experience
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- MRI certified or registry-eligible at time of hire
- Registry-eligible candidates must obtain certification within 6 months
- Strong communication, teamwork, and customer-service skills
- Proficiency with EMR, RIS, and PACS systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
Schedule Options (Current Needs)
- Galveston & Angleton: Friday–Monday, Days
- Galveston:
- Monday–Friday | 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Friday–Sunday | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Tuesday–Friday | 2:00 PM – 12:30 AM
Participation in call, weekend, holiday, and disaster response rotations is required.

The base pay range for this position is $90-000-$120,000, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation.
