Salary Rate: $17-$20/hr.

Shift: Monday – Friday 8:00am - 5:00 p.m.

We are looking for a Medical Assistant to join a clinical team with a Neurology clinic. You will perform the routine duties of triage, recording medical histories, and preparing the treatment rooms. What you will be doing:
- Take Vitals and room patients.
- Cleans exam rooms as needed.
- Assists physicians with patient exams and procedures as needed.
- Answer incoming calls, check messages, and return calls in a timely manner.
- Obtain benefits, pre-certifications, authorizations, and enter information in the account notes in EHR.
- Provide detailed messages and prescription refills to the physician and/or nurse; pull and provide medical charts throughout the day for clinicians.
- Provide charts for next visit with appropriate paperwork and pending lab work with notes from prior visits.
- Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to work independently and part of a team.
What is Required:
- 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician office or clinic.
- Must have completed an Medical Assistant program.
- Preference for experience with AdvancedMD or other EMR software.
