Job Description
We are looking for a Medical Assistant to join a clinical team with a Neurology clinic. You will perform the routine duties of triage, recording medical histories, and preparing the treatment rooms. Responsibilities:
- Take vitals and room patients.
- Cleans exam rooms as needed.
- Assists physicians with patient exams and procedures as needed.
- Answer incoming calls, check messages, and return calls in a timely manner.
- Obtain benefits, pre-certifications, authorizations, and enter information in the account notes in EHR.
- Provide detailed messages and prescription refills to the physician and/or nurse; pull and provide medical charts throughout the day for clinicians.
- Provide charts for next visit with appropriate paperwork and pending lab work with notes from prior visits.
- Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to work independently and part of a team.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Two (2) years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician office or clinic.
- Must have completed a Medical Assistant program.
- High School diploma is required.
- Strong communication and organizational skills are required.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
