Job Description
We are looking for a Medical Assistant to join a clinical team with a Neurology clinic. You will perform the routine duties of triage, recording medical histories, and preparing the treatment rooms. Responsibilities:
  • Take vitals and room patients.
  • Cleans exam rooms as needed.
  • Assists physicians with patient exams and procedures as needed.
  • Answer incoming calls, check messages, and return calls in a timely manner.
  • Obtain benefits, pre-certifications, authorizations, and enter information in the account notes in EHR.
  • Provide detailed messages and prescription refills to the physician and/or nurse; pull and provide medical charts throughout the day for clinicians.
  • Provide charts for next visit with appropriate paperwork and pending lab work with notes from prior visits.
  • Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to work independently and part of a team.
 
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Two (2) years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician office or clinic. 
  • Must have completed a Medical Assistant program. 
  • High School diploma is required. 
  • Strong communication and organizational skills are required. 
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
