Medical Assistant
Job Description
- Record patients’ vitals.
- Record and maintain updated patient records.
- Sterilize medical instruments.
- Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, verify insurance, and collect co-payments.
- Provide patient care functions for an assigned clinical area.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational, and professional standards.
- Some duties may be delegated to the Medical Assistant by the physician or Registered Nurse
- Complete certification as a Certified Medical Assistant and graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program or school is required.
- Experience working within an OB/GYN clinic is required.
- CPR certification through the American Heart Association is required.
- Must have the willingness to float between specialties.
- Strong Medical terminology knowledge is a plus.
- Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
