Job Description:
A healthcare organization is seeking a Medical Records Clerk to support department needs by gathering medical records, managing medical records requests, and following up on medical records.
Responsibilities:
- Retrieve medical records from multiple EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, Athena, etc.).
- Draft and send medical record request correspondence.
- Conduct follow-ups with provider offices via phone, email, and online portals.
- Review records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
- Organize, prepare, and upload records to vendors in required formats.
- Maintain tracking logs and ensure all requests are completed on time.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- One (1) year of Healthcare plan operations/Risk Adjustment/Medical Records experience is required.
- A High School Diploma is required.
- Must have own personal computer and monitor equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
