A prominent healthcare organization is teaming up with Team1Medical to seek a Medical Records Technician II who will ensure physical documentation is accounted for according to Medicaid/Medicare and organizational guidelines to facilitate payment for services. Medical Records Technician II’s Responsibilities
- Locate and retrieve records to accurately audit and verify patient information.
- Update client charts with information promptly.
- Audit charts, records, and record documentation deficiencies for attending physicians to correct.
- Track the location of charts using appropriate software.
- Respond to information requests either in person or by telephone promptly.
Medical Records Technician II’s Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- One (1) year of experience as a medical records technician or a similar role is required.
- Strong organizational and office technology skills are required.
- Intermediate proficiency in medical terminology is highly preferred.
- The ability to perform in a fast-paced environment is highly preferred.
