Medical Scheduler

Job Description
- Schedule patient appointments and enter required demographics and insurance information from the patient.
- Verify insurance eligibility and ensure all referral authorizations are obtained within the required time frames.
- Triage all non-appointment phone calls to accurately transfer them to the correct department
- Support online appointment scheduling and assist other sub-specialized teams that need support.
- Comply with all policies and procedures regarding HIPAA compliance.
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- A minimum of 1 year of experience scheduling in a call center or customer service setting is required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, multi-tasking, customer service skills, and the ability to work in a team environment is essential.
- Strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills are highly preferred.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check
