Job Description
 
We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine / PET Technologist to support high-quality clinical and research imaging services within a leading Houston medical center. This role has a primary focus in PET and requires strong technical expertise, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, highly regulated healthcare environment.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care including IV insertion, patient assessment, education, preparation, and discharge
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals following ALARA and safety standards
  • Monitor patients for distress and initiate emergency response protocols when needed
  • Ensure strict adherence to infection control, radiation safety, and HIPAA requirements
  • Maintain secure access to restricted areas (Hot Lab, technical and supply spaces)
  • Perform Nuclear Medicine and PET imaging studies across routine, advanced, inpatient, and on-call cases
  • Coordinate with physicians, nurses, physicists, and multidisciplinary care teams
  • Travel to off-site imaging centers as required (Bellaire, West Houston, CABI)
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Associate’s Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field
  • ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification
  • Texas Medical Board (TMB) CMRT license
  • CPR certification
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist / PET Technologist
  • Strong PET imaging experience

In the spirit of pay transparency, we want to share the base salary range for this position is $55-$58 not including benefits, potential bonuses or additional compensation. If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth
