Public Health Nurse

Job Description
- Coordinate health care activities of nursing teams, including staff assignments and work schedules.
- Provide direct patient care and public health consultations
- Interview and counsel patients regarding public health practices
- Administer and issue medications and immunizations, tests, and perform physical assessments
- Maintain and review records of referrals
- Participate in the orientation, training, and guidance of new employees and nursing students.
- Assist with planning and coordinating public health care and nursing services within the health or community centers.
- Ensure follow-up of patients with unsatisfactory or abnormal laboratory reports.
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing is required; A Master of Science degree in Nursing is preferred.
- A Current License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas is required
- A minimum of 3 years of practicing as a registered nurse is required
- A Valid Texas Driver's license is required
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drugs screen and criminal background check
- The work schedule hours may vary, Monday, 9 am to 6 pm, and Tuesday – Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm
