X-Ray Technologist

Job Description
- Responsible for understanding and carrying out radiology requisitions and views.
- Assist patients with required positioning to obtain radiographs following established patient care and safety procedures.
- Utilize a variety of radiation protection and shielding materials
- Ensure equipment is in working order and report any malfunction to the immediate supervisor promptly
- Review and maintain charts to ensure EMR guidelines by reviewing clinical
- Accompany the provider into the patient examination room to transcribe patient history.
- Communicate with outside facilities for scheduling tests or surgery to include any orders, pre-cert, or referral information.
- A Graduate of the Accredited School of Radiological Technology or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technician is required; 1 year of Medical Assistant experience is preferred.
- American Registry of Radiology Technology and Florida Licenses are required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required
- Must have a Valid Florida Driver’s license
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check
