A suburban orthopedic clinic affiliated with one of the largest healthcare systems is seeking an X-Ray Technologist on a temp-to-hire basis to join their team. X-Ray Technologist’s Responsibilities
- Assist patients in educating them on the procedures to be performed calmly and courteously.
- Position and monitor patients during their imaging exams and prepare equipment and patient rooms for use
- Produce diagnostic images as directed by ordering physician
- Submit views to the provider for their review
- Always ensure the safety of patients and equipment
- Administer targeted doses of radiation to the patient as needed
- Troubleshoot equipment as needed
X-Ray Technologist’s Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- A minimum of 6 months of experience as a Radiological Technologist
- Current Texas Medical Board and MRT license required; Current ARRT and CPR certifications are required
- Knowledge of any EMR/EHR systems is preferred
- Must be able to thrive within a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail
- Flexibility to travel to other locations as needed
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check
