Job Description
A pain management outpatient surgical center is partnering with Team1Medical to seek an X-Ray Technologist to join their team for temporary coverage! The X-Ray Technologist will work in the OR to help support surgeons in pain management cases.
Responsibilities:
- Operate C-arm and fluoroscopic imaging equipment during interventional pain procedures (e.g., epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections, RF ablations).
- Ensure proper patient positioning and alignment to capture optimal images while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
- Adhere to sterile technique and assist with OR setup, including draping and preparing imaging equipment.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and anesthesia staff to facilitate efficient and safe procedural flow.
- Perform pre-procedure equipment checks and troubleshoot technical issues as needed.
- Document imaging procedures in accordance with facility protocols and regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure images are properly archived and transmitted to PACS.
- Monitor and minimize radiation exposure in compliance with ALARA standards.
- Participate in routine quality assurance, maintenance, and safety checks of imaging equipment.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- ARRT (R) certification required.
- Current state radiologic technologist license (if applicable).
- BLS certification (AHA or equivalent).
- 1–2 years of experience in an operating room or interventional radiology setting.
- Experience working in pain management clinics or supporting spine procedures.
