Job Description
 
One of the premier Healthcare organizations is seeking an PET/CT tech that will be responsible for the use of ionizing and non-ionizing radian to generate fusion images for diagnostic and research purposes. Submit your resume and see what opportunities are available for you!
 
Responsibilities:
  • Performs PET and PET/CT scanner operation for data acquisition and reconstruction.
  • Reviews and acquires patients medical history, explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns.
  • Responsible for patient safety including pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection technique, and radiation safety/regulations.
  • Evaluates and prepares the patient before beginning a procedure; and is able to effectively monitor patient during procedure.
  • Recognizes emergency patient conditions and initiates lifesaving first aid when appropriate.
  • Assists with quality control and service management to ensure continuous improvements in quality Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT services.
  • Coordinates effective scheduling of procedures by organizing Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT resources and coordinating with key stakeholders.
 
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Two (2) years of Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT, or SPECT/CT experience is required. 
  • Current certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology by either American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) required.
    Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) License required.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we want to share the base salary range for this position is $40.00/hr. not including benefits, potential bonuses or additional compensation. If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth
